Pineapple Upside Down Cake

This recipe is one of my favorite family recipes...my grandmother taught us this one when we were wee little ones and it is delicious!

Pineapple Upside Down Cake

Ingredients:
2 cans of Crushed Pineapple
1 box of White OR Yellow Cake Mix (Do not make)
2 sticks of Salted Butter

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Evenly spread crushed pineapple (including juice) in the bottom of a 9x12" glass cooking dish.

Layer the dry cake mix on top of the crushed pineapple.

Thinly slice butter and layer on top of dry cake mix, try not to leave any gaps in the butter.

Cook for 20-30 minutes, until the butter is a golden brown color!

Let cool for several minutes before serving. Delicious with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped topping.
