Pooh's House

Pooh's House is underway...it was a busy weekend! While Jonathan and I were at Childbirth Preparation Class on Saturday...Mom was at our house painting away.

Pooh now has a roof, a door where he lives under the name Mr. Sanders, a window and a tree!

We have a lot of detailing to do but, it is coming together!

On Sunday...we were able to finish recovering the rocking chair cushions! They were tough but we did it...well mom did most of it! But it looks and feels fabulous!

We also finished sewing the second pillow, this one is blue fuzzy material and has Pooh and Tigger on it...its so cute...I love making stuff! He better appreciate all this work his Mama and Mamie are putting into his room lol.

Maternity Photos

I finally decided to give in and take a few maternity photos, everyone said you will want to see them later on :) My mom was our photographer and we found all kinds of little props from our little guy's room. They actually turned out pretty good, I think it will be a much better photo shoot when the little guy is actually present in them but its a start...

I am not sure why the computer added the photos in this order but whatever...its a slide show I guess :)
That is my favorite doll for the little guy!
I am not used to taking serious pictures lol
Jonathan looked so dapper in his black shirt!
There is my extra large tummy!
By the lake
These were my favorite
The little blue bow is a nice touch!
My favorite picture of them all! Look at that smirk on Jonathan's face...he just couldn't keep it straight!
Jonathan's size 15 shoe...our little guys newborn sock!
The booties that were on the Baby Shower cake!
That rug was so soft, it is just like the one in the baby's room!
This was Jonathan's attempt at a crazy picture, it looks like he is breaking his neck :(
Makes me laugh every time!
I like the saying on the wall too!
Feels like I am bulging out!
More lake!
I felt huge there, he was pushing out!
I love it when Jonathan has his hands on my belly!
The heart!
A common sight! He loves feeling him kick him in the ear!
The weather outside was so beautiful...60's and cloudy :)
There's that smirk again!

I can deal with all the pregnancy plus' and minus' even those darn Braxton Hicks Contractions that I have been having since 29 weeks...the one thing that has started to bother me is the ridiculous swelling of my feet. It was like overnight that they all the sudden were three times the size they should be. I was doing so good then all the sudden...nope your feet are huge and you have an unquenchable thirst ALL the time! I have never drank so much water in my life. We are in the home stretch though! 6 weeks and counting until this little man's timer goes off...we can't wait!

More on the Nursery and Baby Update

Mom has been able to come over to the house pretty regularly to work on the painting in the nursery...we have made lots of progress :)

Piglet is finished and has a face!

The bees are chasing Pooh!

They are so cute!

These are the curtains I made...that light airy material was so hard to work with...I am not sure I will ever make sheer curtains again! I couldn't find the exact color of blue I wanted though, so the solution was to make them. I think they turned out pretty good! They make the room look much more boyish than the yellow/gold ones did.
We are working on recovering the rocking chair cushions now...they are almost finished too! The painting is well on its way and I think we will have it finished in no time at all.

I went for my two week check up yesterday :) We go every two weeks now...our little guy is right on track! He is the perfect size for 31 weeks along...and he is ALL in my belly! I have heard nothing but OMG you look so pregnant...he is like a watermelon in your abdomen. Which he is, I am very happy about it to...I have hardly gained any weight anywhere else except for my stomach. Jonathan likes to make all kinds of remarks about how perfectly round and huge my stomach is, but I don't mind...it just means everyone knows there is a baby in there.

We went to see the hospital where he will be delivered :) We did the tour of the maternity ward...it was very informative and we got to see what the room will look like and some of there processes. They are all about parents bonding with the little ones and skin to skin contact as much as possible after delivery, he gets to stay in our room unless there is an emergency, which is really comforting. They will do his first bath with Jonathan and they even have hide-away beds for Jonathan to sleep on at night so he can stay with me until we are released. It was very nice to see everything and meet some of the nurses and know that this part of the hospital is its own separate wing so they specialize in lots of deliveries.

It is getting close and we are getting very excited. Jonathan will come out with these random comments all the time, like: "I can't wait to meet our son!" or "I want to see who he looks like!" it is very endearing.

I will keep updating as they come along...we have a VERY active little one growing rapidly so he will be making his entrance into this world in no time at all.
