4th of July

Paisley had a GREAT first 4th of July! She looked positively A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E and was is great spirits for most of the day, although she was none to keen on the fireworks!

On our way over to Mamie and Pops' house, looking very festive as well!

Paisley took a small swim in the pool but did not enjoy it too much.

So, she sat with Uncle Sam instead...poor Uncle Sam wasn't allowed in the pool cause of his knee.

She had some great Mommy time!

Sebastian was great at jumping in the pool to Mamie.

After his nap, he took another dip in the pool.

We had a great Independence Day just hanging out with friends and family!!! I hope you did too!

Angel Food Cake Casserole Dessert

Light and delicious, especially on a summer afternoon! I got this recipe from a magazine a few months ago and made a few tweaks to it for a more healthy version...it is a big hit at my house!

Angel Food Cake Casserole Dessert

Ingredients:
1 pkg Fresh Strawberries, sliced
1 pkg Fresh Blueberries
2 Fresh Kiwi, Peeled and Sliced
1 Pre-made Angel Food Cake, Cubed
1 pkg Vanilla Pudding Mix
1 cup Milk
1 pkg Cool Whip Topping, thawed

Mix pudding and milk with the cool whip topping, mixture should be smooth when finished mixing. Add sliced fruits and chill in refrigerator for an hour. Place cubed angel food cake pieces in a 9x12" pan, top with fruit and pudding mixture and refrigerate for an additional hour. 

Serve and enjoy!

Lilly's Birthday Party at the Great Wolf Lodge!

We had the privilege of being invited to Lillian's 6th birthday party this past weekend! She is 6! Wow, I can't believe it. Her party was at the Great Wolf Lodge in Concord, NC and we had a blast...I think Sebastian might have said a record number of "Whoa"s!

All bright eyed and happy first thing in the morning!

Unfortunately, our day started off at 3:00am with Jonathan throwing up the rest of the morning. Despite his pleas, he was told to stay home which meant I was on my own...it sucked! Thankfully, I had help once we got to the lodge...LOVE having family so close!

We had a fabulous time celebrating Lilly's special day, so happy we could be apart of it! The Great Wolf Lodge was awesome...tons to do and plenty of activities for every age! Happy Birthday, Lilly!!! I wish I had more pictures of the birthday girl but she was go, go, go!

Yes, we may be a tad bit crazy to add a new puppy with a 20 month old and a 3 month old BUT we have thought this through, I swear! Sebastian has made a great new friend! She is six weeks old and a pure bred English Golden Retriever...the sweetest little puppy in the world. She is very laid back and is loving her new family. Sebastian is getting used to actually playing with a dog...Dory is too old and wants nothing to do with him and all my friends and parent's dogs are too rough or not interested. She has the perfect mix of curiosity and exhaustion when it comes to interacting with Sebastian. I am hoping that they grow up together being the very best of friends!
