Stud of the Month

Sebastian should be crowned the Stud of the Month...he is breezing right on through his milestones in the mobility department. He successfully crawled several consecutive steps in a row on July 5th! Since that wonderful discovery, the world is at his fingertips, literally!

Overnight, he has become a WHIZ in the crawling department and he is not interested in doing it for long, he is already trying to stand and take steps on his own. He had two bruised eyes in a 48 hour time frame because of it, lol.

Let's just say that Jonathan and I are a lot more at ease about his development seeing that he picks up on new skills VERY quickly. We were a bit concerned with his not so comforting entrance into this world. No one could tell us for sure if there would be any permanent damage after five long minutes of unresponsiveness, but we are both a little less worried since he seems to be excelling in many development areas. 

He is becoming quite the little character these days...between the very slobbery kisses to his giggling fits to his less than thrilling appetite for broccoli, he never ceases to amaze us. He absolutely loves to have the palms of his hands tickled :) He desires to eat absolutely everything that Jonathan and I eat and is none too thrilled about that gross stuff called baby food! He had pizza for the first time last night and I couldn't get it onto his tray fast enough!

He has developed the highest pitched scream/squeal imaginable when he wants more or wants to be held...we are working on changing that into some words because the scream is killing us! His little pincher fingers are his greatest asset now...he was using them to hand Mommy pieces of cat hair from the carpet last night...I guess its time to vacuum again :) 

My Baby Can Crawl!

I am so excited to announce that my little man is on the move...at only eight and a half months old, we are now chasing him everywhere around the house. He is move, move, move...the baby proofing has begun!

Fifty Shades of Freed - Series Complete

It is with great sadness that I have finished the Fifty Shades of Grey series with the completion of the third installment, Fifty Shades Freed!

I wish there were more books to read, I didn't want the story to end! I cannot recommend these books enough...they have surpassed ALL of the other books I have read and are my #1 favorites of all time! They are just so intriguing and captivating and make you fall in love with the characters.

These are a FOR SURE, MUST READ!!! I hope you enjoy them as much as I did!

8 Month Pictures

Florida Visit with Tropical Storm Debbie

Jonathan, Sebastian and I enjoyed a long weekend in Melbourne, Florida this past weekend to visit with our extended family! We were most definitely dreading the airplane ride...we were dreading the car ride more which is why we opted to fork up the cash for plane tickets...but airports are not my favorite place either! Sebastian did pretty good considering he is an 8 month old who does not understand why he can chit chat all he wants in the car but should keep his voice down on the airplane.

We arrived at Melbourne Airport on Thursday, right ahead of the fabulous Tropical Storm, Debbie! It seems as though mother nature is determined to keep pace with our vacations....Hurricane Tomas ruined our honeymoon...Hurricane Beryl rocked our cruise and now tropical storm Debbie...whew...I hate hurricane formations! We visited Jonathan's parent's house first and spent the evening enjoying the company.

We ventured out to Medieval Times for dinner on Friday night...It was Sebastian's first time! We had a very good time with Uncle Ricky, Aunt Brandi, Hunter, Junior, Uncle Jimmy, Aunt Melissa and Madison.

We spent Sunday at Uncle Ricky's house due to all of the rain...we stopped by the beach after the storm let up a tad bit...the wind was still whirling!

Summer Reading Competition

I have joined the elusive Summer Reading Competition going on between my book addict siblings and I AM WINNING so far...I know it will not be long before Kristyn sprints ahead but I am enjoying the glory while I can. I love reading books, but just haven't had time to with work and Sebastian. I have vowed to make time now, I forgot how much I love being lost in the story! I added a new page on this Blog of books I have read or are currently reading so if anyone else is interested in joining in, feel free.

My mind is currently ooggling over Fifty Shades Darker this week :) It is a very strange series but intriguing.

Mockingjay...The Hunger Games Complete

I have finished the series...which makes me both sad and happy! I am sad that I will need to find a new adventure to become inthralled in but happy to finally get answers to all the questions! It took me a little bit longer to finish Mockingjay, as I found it much slower and more difficult to read then the prior two installments. I still feel it was important to finish the series even though I was not at all fond of this last one!

This series is definitely still worth diving in to!!! Loved it!
